The project required coordination between architectural design, fabrication, and functional lighting. Rather than creating only a sign, the design incorporates an illuminated canopy and side light bars that transform the entire storefront while providing welcoming downlighting for guests entering the establishment.
The centerpiece is a custom-fabricated all-aluminum wall sign featuring internal aluminum angle and tubing construction for long-term durability. The primary sign measures 62" x 84" and is flanked by illuminated architectural light bars, bringing the overall composition to 20'-4" wide. A 10-inch tall, illuminated metal canopy anchors the design while providing functional downlighting over the entrance.
The sign combines multiple fabrication techniques to recreate the classic glow of vintage theater marquees. Individually mounted channel letters spell "Carrie's", while the "Whiskey Bar" copy and decorative striping are fabricated as illuminated push-through acrylic elements. Warm LED marquee lamps and neon-style LED lighting create the nostalgic character of traditional neon while utilizing modern, energy-efficient technology.
The carefully selected palette of black, gold, silver, and white perfectly complements the luxurious interior finishes and ties the exterior and interior together into one cohesive brand experience. The existing Art Deco-inspired window graphics were thoughtfully incorporated into the overall composition, allowing the new sign system to unify the storefront into a cohesive architectural statement.
